Two groups, two familiar games. A child starts from where they already are — and by the end of the lesson the game obeys the instructions they wrote.
Minecraft — ages 7-9
Minecraft is a game children already know and enjoy, and it works just as well for learning to program. The children code characters and structures inside the game itself, so every instruction gives a visible result straight away.
Roblox — ages 9-12
Roblox lets children be actual game makers. We start with simple games and get as far as writing real code in Lua.
